Salty Days Top Down Sweater

Description

The Salty Days Sweater by Veronika Lindberg was recently published to Ravelry and immediately caught my eye. It will easily be a 3-season sweater. The different textured sections are sure to keep our attention.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from top down and dropped shoulders with extra-long sleeves for a feminine and cozy look. The design is meant to be worn with 6-8” of ease for a relaxed and slightly oversized look

The work begins by shaping the back yoke flat while increasing for the shoulder seams, then stitches are picked up from the right and left shoulder for the front yoke. The front and back yokes are then joined together and worked in the round for the body. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and worked in the round, and lastly stitches are picked up for the double folded collar.

The textured stitches are charted only, we will cover reading from a chart in class.

Adventurous Advanced Beginner Skill Level (and up): must be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, work basic stitch patterns with combinations of knits and purls, simple increases/decreases, and follow written instructions. Ability to read a chart is helpful, though not required.

Class meets Monday evenings (Eastern):

• November 13 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm
• November  30 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm
• December 11, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm
• January 8 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm*
