Description

This crochet blanket design is based on traditional Persian ceramic patterns. It is eye-poppingly gorgeous!

The project is relatively simple in construction, consisting of just 4 different motifs; the main octagon piece surrounded by variations on traditional granny squares and triangles. The stitches used are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and triple crochet.

If you don’t know how to crochet or haven’t crocheted in years, you’ll need to take a crochet lesson prior to attending the class. Contact Westport Yarns at 203-454-4300 or scroll down to bottom of class listing to send me a message and we can arrange a lesson.

You can choose to crochet the original Persian Tile pattern by Jane Crowfoot with 6 colors featured in the pattern picture or you can crochet the Eastern Jewels version by Lucia’s Fig Tree with 12 colors.

Skill Level:  Must know how to make a chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.

Class meets monthly on Thursdays, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm or Sundays from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
