Description
Exploration Station is a dramatic shawl knit in four colors. While knitting this top down, semi-circle shawl, you will learn Stephen West’s shortcut rows, two-color brioche ribbing, slipped stitches, stripes, and a chevron border.
As an added twist the designer, Stephen West, uses an i-cord tab cast on and an i-cord edge as you knit. It will change the way you border your shawls! What a terrific opportunity to test out these different techniques in small doses. Let the exploration begin.
Intermediate Skill Level: must be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, work a variety of stitch patterns with combinations of knits and purls, basic lace, simple color changes, more complicated increases/decreases, and finishing.
