Description

Entrelac is a technique used to create a textured, woven fabric. When you look at Entrelac, you see tiers of tilting blocks that appear to run over and under each other. Entrelac is worked all in one piece as a series of interconnecting small rectangles where one row will have rectangles tilting to the right and the next row will have rectangles tilting to the left.

The Entrelac Shawl with tassels is a great design to learn this mystifying technique. We will use yarns that have long color repeats for a visually appealing fabric.

Intermediate Skill Level: Must be comfortable with knitting on one circular needle, cast on, bind off, knit, purl, and follow written directions.

Class meets Fridays, January 20, February 3, and March 3 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Pattern: Entrelac Shawl with Tassels (Not included in class fee and is available on Ravelry.)
