Advanced Brioche ~ 2-Color Brioche Knit Flat

Description

We will knit up this sweet coaster while learning how to work 2-color Brioche flat AND brioche increases and decreases! Think of the brioche projects you can tackle once you’ve mastered these techniques!

Each row is worked twice before turning, once with the main color and once with the contrast color. When working the Brioche stitch flat in two-colors, you will need to use either circular or double pointed needles in order to slide the work every other row.

All will be made clear in class! We will take it one stitch at a time. We’ll also learn how to fix common mistakes in brioche knitting.

Advanced/Intermediate Skill Level: casting on/binding off,  knits/purls, following written pattern instructions, and most importantly, students must be comfortable with basic brioche knitting in two colors. Class meets either Sunday, June 11 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Eastern) or Thursday, August 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm (Eastern).
