Meet Pam Grushkin

I love to share my passion for knitting and crochet through teaching and designing. My designs have been published in Vogue Knitting, Knitting Socks with Hand-painted Yarn, One + One Hats, One + One Wraps, Cowls, & Capelets, Tahki Stacy Charles and independently as Pam Grushkin Designs.

I have worked and taught knitting at yarn stores since 2004. Over the years I have built a rich curriculum of classes that range from beginner to intermediate.

When I was 12, my mother taught my sister and I how to knit. I have very fond memories of traveling to the yarn store to pick out our projects. I still remember the first time I saw Noro yarns on the “specialty” yarns table and just ogling it. My first sweaters were knit with Candide and Lopi. Options were few back in the day.

During the Pandemic, as a way to stay engaged with my clients, I began to teach “virtually”. I use special cameras and descriptive dialogue to ensure students still get the full class experience and have success with their projects.

My love for knitting has stayed with me through the years and if you’ll pardon the pun, has been a constant thread throughout my life.

When I first learned of Pam’s virtual knitting classes and her yarn shop partnership program, I was ecstatic. It seemed like the perfect solution for a service I’d been wanting to offer my customers but for which I didn’t have the in-house resources. But then I thought, “Will she represent my brand well? Is she a good teacher? Can I trust her with my customers?” To find out, I took her two-part Nightshift class myself, and all my doubts were put to rest. Pam is incredibly patient and knowlegeable. She’s professional yet friendly. She’s well organized and provides students with clear direction and additional information that is not only thoughtful but truly helpful. She’s proficient at teaching over Zoom with all the cameras and lighting that are essential for successful online demonstrations. I’m confident my customers will enjoy Pam’s classes, so I am delighted to now partner with her.
