Meet Pam Grushkin

I love to share my passion for knitting and crochet through teaching and designing. My designs have been published in Vogue Knitting, Knitting Socks with Hand-painted Yarn, One + One Hats, One + One Wraps, Cowls, & Capelets, Tahki Stacy Charles and independently as Pam Grushkin Designs.
I have worked and taught knitting at yarn stores since 2004. Over the years I have built a rich curriculum of classes that range from beginner to intermediate.
During the Pandemic, as a way to stay engaged with my clients, I began to teach “virtually”. I use special cameras and descriptive dialogue to ensure students still get the full class experience and have success with their projects. Additionally, I have collaborated with several yarn stores and venues: New York Sheep & Wool Virtual Festival, New England Yarns, String Yarns, Salt Yarn Studios, The Observatory, and WEBS.
When I was 12, my mother taught my sister and me how to knit. I have very fond memories of traveling to the yarn store to pick out our projects. I still remember the first time I saw Noro yarns on the “specialty” yarns table and just ogling it. My first sweaters were knit with Candide and Lopi. Options were few back in the day.
My love for knitting has stayed with me through the years and if you’ll pardon the pun, has been a constant thread throughout my life.
