Lions, Tigers, and Bears, OH MY!

Now that I’ve got your attention, I wanted to share some updates. (I couldn’t think of a succinct subject line so my pre-coffee brains went a different route.)

I have space available in three classes this weekend in Westport Yarns. I am also available for private lessons on Monday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 4. Email me to reserve a time pam.grushkin.gmail.com.

In this class you will learn all the techniques involved in brioche knitting including reading brioche patterns and tips for keeping your knitting on track.

The class meets this Saturday, February 1 from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

Per the designer, “Two colors of fingering weight yarn create a collage of graphic shapes for this top-down shawl. Garter stitch parallelograms with i-cord edges establish the star shape followed by stripes, brioche*, short rows, eyelets and a striped i-cord bind off”.

*Not ready for brioche? No problem, there is also a garter stitch option to knit instead .

Class starts this Sunday, February 2 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. We have the lovely Anzula Squishy in stock just for this purpose! Click here for more information and to register.
This incredibly striking sampler afghan is the perfect way to learn different stitches and techniques that make up the mystical world of colorwork! Over the course of the class, you will gain confidence managing several colors at a time while knitting ten different panels.

The class meets the first Monday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Click here for more information and to register.
My first pattern release of 2020. Aptly named, “My Precious”, this lovely shawlette is knit with Artyarns Silk Day Dream. It is light, shimmery, and has a lovely drape. Silk Day Dream is a sport-weight yarn with 400 yards. You can also use a heavy fingering weight yarn.

Don’t miss out on this fun excursion to Knit City Montreal, a modern fiber festival.
