Her pattern swatches are serving double duty as swatches to ultimately design her own blanket sampler. The squares will be 7″ x 7″. She’s going to work on reading a pattern with more happening on each row to get better at pattern reading in general.
I learned that she has a design background, particularly sewing. That explains why she is fearless in her approach to learning new things and why mistakes don’t bother her.
It’s a pleasure to have someone say, “great, I can learn how to take out stitches” when faced with a mistake. Definitely not something I hear everyday.
