11th time is a charm

Elizabeth is turning the heel on her “Show off stranded sock” by Anne Campbell, knit in Colinette Jitterbug, slate colorway. This pattern is perfect for hand painted yarns, it shows off the colors beautifully. It is definitely going on my queue. By the way, Elizabeth is on #000 needles! It’s like knitting with wire.

Her next pair of socks will be knit in Shibui sock yarn, the pattern is “9 to 5” socks.
Janine and I worked on picking up dropped stitches with a crochet hook.

She also started the Infinity Cabled Cowl by Dina Mor, knit in Rowan Lima. The pattern starts with a provisional cast on using a crocheted chain.
Sunaina had quite a battle with a basketweave pattern. She struggled with it 8 times at home. It just wouldn’t come out right. Well, after the 9th time, we realized the pattern wasn’t casting on the right number of stitches for the repeat. So we added 2 stitches. After the 10th time we realized that we should’ve reduced the cast on by 2 stitches. Now she’s off and running. I give her an A+ for perseverance!
